Brittney Griner is getting her own comic book.

The WNBA star, who was imprisoned in Russia for nearly a year, will be the focal point of a new comic book set to be released.

"The story of WNBA star Brittney Griner’s detainment in Russia and eventual return to the United States is set to be immortalized in a special project from comic book publisher, TidalWave Comics," Sports Illustrated wrote.

It's an interesting choice, to be sure.

"Comic book sounds about right," one fan wrote.

"Pat Tillman..a guy that gave up an NFL career to give his life for his country. And she kneels for the anthem and brings drugs into a foreign country but is awarded. There's something wrong with that. And from what I've seen no one really cares," one fan added.

"Will the proceeds be used to help release other prisoners?" another fan wondered.

Will you be purchasing the comic book?
